A story
A keep and a military look-out post in the 15th century, then the home of a noble family in 1560, Château des Arras is located on a hillside overlooking the Dordogne.
In the 18th century, doors and windows were created, the moat filled in and the elegant sweep of the double front steps that can be seen today replaced the primitive drawbridge.
In 1795, two wings were added to the main building, as well as a large terrace on the north side, leading to the landscaped gardens. It was at this time that construction started of the buildings and outbuildings required for the operation of the 27 hectares of vines. This estate is the archetype of the Bordeaux estate with a vineyard in a single stretch, a wall surrounding the Château, the best grape varieties, and optimum exposure to the sun.

A terroir
It is a family estate run by people who, for generations, have known how to make good wine and ensure it matures in the best conditions.
The many awards won by our wines in competitions bear testimony to the efforts undertaken in controlling yields and in implementing state-of-the-art vinification techniques. Today it is a 'feminine' wine, smooth and balanced with silky tanins as elaborated by Claudine Rozier. Our commitment to respect our environment led us to obtain the Agriculture Raisonnée label
Our Cuvée Prestige is the result of a strictly-controlled maturing process in barrels made of oak from the Tronçais forest, which contribute harmoniously to its complexity.
